March 2012 - HAPPY, HAPPY.....Lele went BW both days at the New Brunswick KC shows for 1 point and a 3 point major!! Many thanks to the Wildwood girls, Pam and Jen, for showing her so beautifully. One more point to go to finish her championship and then hopefully on to motherhood this summer and sweet Gordon puppies!!
February 2012 - After 30 years, I had one of my breeder dreams fulfilled...... a brother/sister Best in Sweeps and Best of Opposite in Sweeps! It was amazing!!!! At the English Setter Association of America Specialty in Secaucus my Reggie, Mountainview's Egoiste, went BEST IN SWEEPS and his sister Elle, Mountainview's Coco Mademoiselle, went BEST OF OPP...... from my very first English setter litter. Many thanks to Greg McCarthy for his patience and expertise in showing them both to their wins. I will never forget that day!
January 2012 - It was a great start to a New Year when Reggie ( Mountainview's Egoiste) went WD at the Merrimack KC show for his very first point!!! Greg did a great job with him and he looked so handsome! Way to go Reg!!!! Now both he and his sister have their first points ......beginnings with puppies are priceless!
November 2011 - Elle, at 12 mo., went to her very first indoor show at the Soughegan KC show this month and went WB and BW for her very first point!!! Yahoo Ellie-Bellie.....way to go!!! I so hope she will follow in her mom's footsteps! Thanks Greg for giving her a fun first experience! At the same show, Miley (Ch. Stagedoor Fast' N Your Seat Belt) went BOS for another point towards her Grand Championship! ...So proud of both of those girls!
October 2011 - I am so proud to announce that after an 11 mo. break from dog shows (to have her first litter and rest up), Chanel (Ch. Stagedoor Coco Chanel) went BOS at the ESCNE Fall Specialty for a 5 pt. major towards her Grand Championship. She looked wonderful! The icing on the cake was that her daughter, Elle (Mountainview's Coco Mademoiselle) went Best Puppy! Both of my girls were handled beautifully by Greg McCarthy. It was a memorable Specialty!!
July 2011 - July was a wonderful month for Lele ( Mountainview's Seamless)!! She went WB for 2 more points at the Naugatuck Valley KC show. WAY TO GO LEE!!! Later in the month, she went WB and BOS for a 3 pt. major at the Lackawanna KC show!!!! Pam Radonis Scott showed her beautifully to both wins and is now Lele's new best friend!!!! HOORAY TEAM LELE!!!
May 2011 - May was another great month! Miley went BOS at the Hudson ES Specialty (May 6, 2011) her first time as out as a "special". It was a beautiful, blue sky, spring day and such an exciting win for me and Miley! Joan was so happy for the both of us! Reggie and Elle made their debut in the 6-9 mo. puppy classes and Reggie made the final cut along with the WD and RWD. The judge had lovely things to say about him and Suzanne Montgomery showed him beautifully for me. It was a wonderful day!
April 24, 2011 - We have a NEW CHAMPION at Mountainview, CH. STAGEDOOR FAST'N YOUR SEAT BELT! Miley went WB at the South Windsor KC to finish.....YAHOO! On this wonderful ride to her championship, Miley garnered a 5 pt. Specialty win at the ESCNE Specialty, a 3 pt. major a few weeks later, and more recently a 4 pt. major at the ESCNE Supported Entry at New England Sporting Dog. Many thanks to Joan Savage for breeding this lovely girl and co-owning her with me.
March 2011 - This month marked a long awaited return to dog shows beginning with the New England Sporting Dog Weekend. Sassy (Ch. Mountainview's Sas Sea) went BOB on Sat. and Select Bitch on Sun. at the TarTan Supported Entries to garner 7 points toward her Grand-championship. YAHOO!!! Miley (Stagedoor Fast'N Your Seat Belt) went WB,BW, and BOS at the Sat. ESCNE Supported Entry for a 4 pt. major! Go Girl!!! Many, many thanks to Greg McCarthy for showing both my girls so beautifully to their wins. The following Sun. at the Bronx KC, I showed Miley and she went WB for another point. One more point to go!!! Lele (Mountainview's Seamless) went WB,BW, and BOW shown beautifully by Kristin Karboski. What a return to dog shows March was!!!!
March 2011 - Chanel's puppies are growing by leaps and bounds. They turned 4 months on the 2nd......where does the time fly? Reggie and Elle have stayed here at Mountainview but their siblings are in wonderful homes......having lots of fun and getting lots of LOVE and ATTENTION. We send lots of wet, setter kisses to Carter, Abner, Rufus, and Hope.
November 2, 2010 - THEY'RE HERE!!!!!! Chanel presented me with 4 handsome boys and 2 beautiful girls this Tues. in the wee hours of the night! I am thrilled and all are doing wonderfully. The puppies are adorable and I will be posting photos and litter information in the next few days so keep checking back! Happy, happy, love, love, fun, fun!
October 2010 - HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! Chanel, CH. STAGEDOOR COCO CHANEL (Ch. Brasswinds Hot Topic x Ch. Stagedoor Cherry Bomb) was bred to Tristan, CH. BITTERSWEET'S NITE N WHITE SATIN (Ch. Honeygait Surprise Addition x Ch. Bittersweet's Todays The Day). Puppies are due the very beginning of Nov. Both Chanel and Tristan have OFA GOOD hips, OFA NORMAL elbows, OFA Normal thyroid, and have their Baer #. The puppy pedigree is quite lovely and contains some of the breed's best from the past and the present.......highlighted by the fact Chanel's uncle, Ch. Stagedoor Rock It Man, was # 1 ES in 2006 and 2007. The excitement and anticipation mounts. This will be the very first ES litter at Mountainview. Keep checking back for updates and pictures!
July - August 2010 - Summer was so HOT and way too HUMID ..... the number of shows we attended were kept to just a handful. Happily....Miley, STAGEDOOR FAST'N YOUR SEAT BELT, went WB for a 3 pt. major on the 4th of July weekend. Yahoo!!! Lele, MOUNTAINVIEW'S SEAMLESS got a couple more points toward her CH......beautifully presented by Kristin Karboski. Way to go girls!!! And Chanel, CH. STAGEDOOR COCO CHANEL, received points toward her Grand Championship at her first 2 shows going Select Bitch and BOS for a single and a 3 pt major!!! She looked wonderful! What a triple play!
June 11, 2010 - Woo-Woo-Woo! GREAT NEWS! A HUGE congratulations to our youngest English Setter, Miley (Stagedoor Fast'N Your Seat Belt), for going WB at the ESCNE Independent Specialty for a 5 pt major!! Many thanks to breeder judge, B.J. Parsons, for this wonderful win! Joan and I couldn't be prouder! What a fantastic way to begin getting her championship points!!
June, 2010 - Exciting plans are still underway for the very first English Setter litter at Mountainview. We are planning on breeding Chanel (Ch. Stagedoor Coco Chanel) late summer/early fall of 2010. Plans are also underway for a Gordon Setter breeding late fall/early winter of 2010. Keep checking back for updates and details.
October 12, 2009 - NEWS FLASH!!! Our youngest, Olivia (Sandpiper's Scrimshaw), went BEST IN SWEEPS at the TarTan Gordon Setter Club Specialty on Columbus Day. YAHOO! WOO - WOO! All the girls at Mountainview were cheering her on. What a wonderful and exciting win especially since it came from the 9 -12 mo. class!!! Way to go " 'Livia".........we are so proud of you!
September, 2009 - Hooray! Sassy, Lele, and Chanel got their OFA Health Clearances this month and received their CHIC numbers. All three had GOODS and NORMALS. Now we can continue with plans on breeding Sassy late fall/early winter and Chanel early spring. 2010 should be a very exciting year at Mountainview...a Gordon Setter litter (the first one in three years) and an English Setter litter (the very, very first at Mountainview). June 6, 2009 - We have some woo-woo wooing to do at Mountainview. Our own Sassy went WB and BW (for a 4 pt. major) at the Greenwich K.C. show and got her 4th major. YAHOO!! She is now officially CH. MOUNTAINVIEW'S SAS SEA. Many, many thanks to her handler and my friend, Greg McCarthy, who showed her beautifully to her championship. Sassy's wins included going WB (for a 4 pt. major) at the TarTan Supported entry at Ladies Dog Club, WB (for a 3 pt. major) at the TarTan Supported entry at New England Sporting Group Association, and WB for a 3 pt. major at her very first show at 6 months and 2 days of age!!! All of us, especially Mama GiGi, are so proud of our "sassy" girl who finished in such great style!
June 5, 2009 - Our newest addition at Mountainview, Sandpiper's Scrimshaw, made a BIG splash into the world of dog shows at her very first show. Olivia, proudly shown by her co-breeder and co-owner Paul Reilly, went WB at the Taconic Hills K.C. show for her very first point at just 7 months of age!!! Beautifully and meticulously groomed by her co-owner Donna Grant, Olivia went from Best Puppy to a Puppy Group 3!!! All of us, including her other co-breeder and co-owner Janice Beattie, were thrilled and very proud. Thank you team Olivia!!!
January 24, 2009 - Miley, Stagedoor Fast 'N Your Seat Belt, made her show debut at the Glens Falls K.C. show. Under judge Ed Bivin, Miley went RWB and Best Puppy. Later that day, Miley did Joan and I proud by going Puppy Group 4 under judge Tom Feneis. Go Miley...go Miley...go Miley! What a great way to start the New Year!
November 2008 - We have some very exciting news! On October 26th, 2008, Chanel went WB at the Bronx County K.C. Show in Augusta, NJ for a 3 point major under judge, Larry Berg. At a little over 2 years of age, Chanel finished her championship and is officially CH. STAGEDOOR COCO CHANEL. Many thanks to her breeder, Joan Savage (Stagedoor English Setters) for this lovely girl. She is the first English Setter champion at Mountainview!
